Living Shadow. While in dim light or darkness, Vorverselachthyr has resistance to damage that isn’t Force, Psychic, or Radiant.

Sunlight Sensitivity. While in sunlight, Vorverselachthyr has disadvantage on ability checks and attack rolls.

Dragonrage (Mythic Trait; Recharges after a Short or Long Rest). If Vorverselachthyr is reduced to 0 hit points, he doesn’t die or fall unconscious. Instead, he dismisses into a violent burst of shadows and teleports to any point of dim light or darkness of his choosing within 60 feet of his original location. Vorverselachthyr regains 152 hit points and can immediately take a Hide action within his first round activated (on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw to be seen). After ending a short rest after having used this trait, massive damage.

Frightful Presence. At the beginning of its turn, each creature the dragon chooses within 60 feet of itself who is aware of the dragon must succeed on a DC 17 Wisdom saving throw or become frightened until the end of the dragon’s next turn. A creature who rolls a 20 or higher on this save is immune to the dragon’s Frightful Presence for the next 24 hours.

Legendary Resilience. The dragon can still choose to take Legendary Actions even when incapacitated or charmed.

Spellcasting. Vorverselachthyr casts one of the following spells, requiring no Material components and using Charisma as the spellcasting ability (spell save DC 17):

  • At Will: detect magic, mage hand, shatter
  • 1/day: sending, borrowed knowledge

Sunlight Exposure (Mythic Trait; Recharges after a Short or Long Rest).

Actions

Multiattack. Vorverselachthyr makes three Rend attacks.

Rend. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 10 (1d6 + 5) piercing damage, 10 (1d6 + 5) slashing damage, and 3 (1d6) necrotic damage.

Shadow Breath (Recharge 5-6, requires Deep Breath). Vorverselachthyr exhales a concentrated cloud of energetic shadow in a 60-ft. Line. Each creature in that line must make a DC 15 Constitution saving throw, taking 27 (5d10) lightning damage and 27 (5d10) necrotic damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. A humanoid reduced to 0 hit points by this damage dies, and a Shadow rises from its corpse. The shadow is under Vorverselachthyr’s control and shares Vorverselachthyr’s initiative count but acts immediately after Vorverselachthyr.

Bonus Actions

Shadow Stealth. While in dim light or darkness, Vorverselachthyr takes the Hide action.

Legendary Actions

Vorverselachthyr can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action can be used at a time, and only at the end of another creature’s turn. Vorverselachthyr regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.

Pounce. Vorverselachthyr moves up to half its speed, and it makes one Rend attack.

Deep Breath. Vorverselachthyr takes a deep breath and concentrates on preparing his breath weapon. After 3 turns, his Shadow Breath can be used as an action on his turn, as long as he has not lost concentration on this ability.

Legendary Control. The dragon attempts to make a saving throw against an effect that they can normally only save against at the beginning or end of their own turn.

Sonic Boom. Vorverselachthyr uses its wings to send shockwaves. Each creature within 60 ft. must make a DC 16 Constitution saving throw, taking 27 (6d8) thunder damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

Tail Swipe. Vorverselachthyr makes one Rend attack.

Mythic Actions

If Vorverselachthyr’s mythic trait is active, he can use the options below as legendary actions for 1 hour after using Dragonrage.

Lightning Cage. Vorverselachthyr summons a cage of lightning at a point he can see within 60 feet. A 5-foot-radius sphere of lightning appears at the point he chose. Any creature that enters or leaves the area must succeed on a Constitution saving throw (DC 15) or take 5d12 lightning damage and be stunned until the end of their next turn. On a successful save, the creature takes half damage.

Temporal Skip. Vorverselachthyr phases partially out of time, removing all conditions affecting them and becoming immune to damage until the start of their next turn. They can’t take actions while phased.

Veil of Shadow. Vorverselachthyr uses Shadow Stealth, and one creature of its choice that it can see within 10 ft. of it takes 10 (3d6) Necrotic damage. Vorverselachthyr can’t take this action again until the start of its next turn.
